A place for grad students and families. Yakama Village is the University's newest apartment complex, built in the mid-'90s. It is reserved solely for graduate students and students with families.
Every apartment has its own deck or patio with lockable storage. Yakama is also the only on-campus complex with laundry hookups in individual apartments; two- and three-bedroom apartments (and some one-bedroom units) have washer and dryer hookups.
Yakama Village apartments come in several configurations. One building is dedicated primarily to studio and one-bedroom apartments. Studio units are reserved for single graduate students (no roommates).
The other buildings contain one, two, and three-bedroom apartments: either flats with the living area all on one floor, or townhouses with bedrooms and bathroom located upstairs. Units can be rented fully furnished if desired.
Several ground-floor flats are built especially with wheelchair accessibility in mind. All Yakama apartments are connected to the university Ethernet. Yakama Village is located on the south side of campus, about 10 minute's walk from the center of campus.
