A world of art and entertainment right on campus
There's plenty of high-quality entertainment year-round at WSU. For example...
For art, start with the WSU Museum of Art. The museum houses a variety of famous painting, sculpture, and photography exhibits by regional, national, and international artists like Jim Dine. One of the leading figures in contemporary art, Dine recently had a prominent sculpture exhibit at WSU. You can branch out into galleries and festivals in the nearby communities of Moscow, ID, and Palouse.
Beasley Coliseum regularly hosts nationally known performers. Recent events include performances by Taylor Swift, Elton John, ZZ Top, Howie Mandel, Jeff Dunham, Jay Leno, and others.
For a fun-filled weekend on campus, check out Up All Night, with free food, music, games, and late night activities like ultimate Frisbee. The annual Springfest brings local, regional, and national music acts together at WSU as part of a 2-day variety event. Or how about Latin dance lessons in the CUB (Compton Union Building), or working out at the amazingly well equipped Student Recreation Center?
And of course there's Cougar athletics.
